A jewellery store clerk is in hospital after being tied up during a robbery and left in his Markham St. store for several hours.
The
heist happened last night at the store a block west of Bathurst St.
Robbers bound the man and made off with a large quantity of jewellery.
The
man was found around 1 a.m. and taken to hospital, said police. Police
don’t know how seriously he was hurt, but his injuries are believed to
be non-life-threatening.
So far, police haven’t released descriptions of the thieves or a full estimate of exactly how much jewellery was stolen.
