A 51-year-old Cleveland man collapsed and then died outside of a municipal courtroom after he was sentenced to 60 days in jail for restraining a 14-year-old girl and then attempting to kiss her "with his tongue."
According to the Daily Mail, through an interpreter Miguel Aybar told Judge Michelle Early during his testimony that the teenaged girl had told him she had feelings for him.
In a video of the proceedings, obtained by
19 Action News, Early replied: "She’s 14 years old!"
Aybar was found guilty of unlawful restraint and sentenced to 60 days in jail.
After he was handcuffed and led out of the courtroom by police he fell to the municipal building's hallway floor.
The teen's mother, who was not identified, told the news station that Aybar was her boyfriend's stepfather. The teen's mother also said Aybar was her family's neighbor.
Cause of death has not yet been determined, but according to the teen's mother Aybar had high blood pressure.
