An adult entertainment club owner is facing charges after police say he tried to bribe an officer to get tips on upcoming raids.
Toronto police say an officer was at The Devil's Playground in Markham in May following up on a case. It was then, police say, that the owner offered the officer money in exchange for being alerted to future police and bylaw enforcement activity at his two business locations.

The officer reported the conversation to his supervisors who started an investigation.
That included having the officer return to the club and receive the money the owner promised, police say.
The 39-year-old owner was charged Thursday with bribery of officer and attempt to obstruct justice.
Following subsequent searches, the club owner was additionally charged with; possession of firearm while prohibited, unauthorized possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, contravention of storage regulations made under the Firearms Act, possess firearm knowing the serial number has been altered and possession of firearm obtained by the commission of an offence.
The accused appeared in court on Friday.
