A 44-year-old Cole Harbour man is facing several charges including sexual assault against a female under the age of 16.
Halifax police say James Ping Wong is facing a total of four charges – sexual assault, sexual interference, luring a child via a computer and possession of child pornography.
Halifax RCMP spokesman Cpl. Scott MacRae said the 15-year-old victim and the man charged are known to each other.
It’s alleged the incidents took place last August.
“A complaint was brought forth by a person who knew the victim,” MacRae said.
Police say officers searched the victim’s home and seized several items, including a computer which allegedly contained pornographic images of children.
