One local restaurant employee is singing his way to the top in an international McDonalds singing competition.
Candido Revilles was the only singer from Canada to make it to the international Voice of McDonalds finals with 13 other finalists from around the world.
"This is very special for me. Ever since I was a child I wanted to sing. I just wanted to sing and this was my chance when I saw the contest," the fresh-faced 36-year-old told Metro.
The Voice of McDonalds international contest chose from 1.6 million employees from around the world and whittled down to the very finest, including Revilles. The winner of the competition will receive a cool $25,000.
Canadian Idol finalist Jaydee Bixby and Revilles performed Elvis covers to the delight of family, friends and restaurant workers yesterday in celebration of Revilles’ success. Bixby is a huge fan of the McDonalds star.
"He’s got what it takes and he’s very modest. He’s just the whole package, really down to earth and he has a great voice," Bixby said after the duet.
