A large slab of decorative concrete has crashed to the ground from an office building in northeast Toronto.

The slab, about three metres long, fell from about the second floor of the 10-storey building, near Highway 401 and Don Mills Road.

There were no injuries and no property on the ground was damaged.

Police say the decorative concrete slabs are supported by metal latches and one of the latches gave way.

Police say the building is being evacuated.
