Vancouver lawyer David Eby is calling Vancouver Police “bullies” after releasing video surveillance that appears to show an officer shoving a disabled woman to the ground.
The video was taken June 9, said Eby, with the B.C. Civil Liberties Association.
In it, a woman hobbles into the path of three male officers and is given a hard shove to the ground. A passerby helps her to her feet.
Eby claimed cops aren’t equipped to deal with working in the inner city.
“It becomes easier to dehumanize (residents),” he said.
