A 17-year-old is facing several charges including obstructing a peace officer and flight from police after Halifax RCMP received calls about three males trespassing on properties on Nelson Drive in Lawrencetown Thursday morning.

Police say witnesses told them they saw three males run toward a van parked on the road and drove off toward Crowell Road, where they began walking on people’s properties there. They then left in the van, which police say belonged to one of the suspects. It was pulled over at Old Mineville Road, where police say the occupants ran from the vehicle.

Police say the 17-year-old was arrested after a foot pursuit, but the other two males couldn’t be located. The teen is also charged with two counts of trespass at night and one count of mischief.
