Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two young women after an Ottawa taxi driver was assaulted and robbed.
Police said at 1:26 a.m. on July 15, a Blue Line taxi operator picked up two females from the ByWard Market area and drove them to Baseline Road and Woodroffe Avenue. When they arrived at this location, a struggle ensued inside the car.
Police said the driver was assaulted and had his evening fare money stolen. The two females fled the area and were last seen eastbound on Baseline Road.
Police are seeking two white females, both 19 to 20 years old. The first female has blonde hair, with a mole on her left upper lip and the second has long brown hair. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 613-236-1222, ext. 5403.
