Cops seek suspect in possible hate crime

Vancouver Police hate crime investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect who allegedly threatened two men with a knife last week.

The victims said the man followed them out of a convenience store near Davie Street and Bidwell Avenue Feb. 13, pulled a knife on them and then walked off.

No one was injured.

Vancouver Police Const. Lindsey Houghton said investigators are trying to determine if the attack was motivated by hate, but declined to explain why.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 604-717-2814 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
