Cops still seeking juveniles in murder

WEST OAK LANE. Police are seeking a group of juveniles who could face murder charges after a 60-year-old pizza deliveryman died after a robbery Sunday night, police said.

Jaime Orozco, of Ed’s Pizza, was making a delivery to 20th and Godfrey when between six to eight youths allegedly robbed and assaulted him before stealing his car, which triggered a fatal heart attack.

Orozco was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. Police said some of the suspects could be as young as 11 years old, but no arrests had been made last night.

Friends said the man, lovingly known as “Poppy,” was committed to his family.

“He was just here to work and do his job,” co-worker Prince Rainier told 6ABC. “That’s the only reason he was here, to send money to his family in Colombia.”

Last year, three teenagers were sentenced to prison for the death of Center City Starbucks manager Sean Conroy after Conroy suffered a fatal asthma attack while being beaten in a subway concourse.
