Striker Jonattan Cordoba and defender Shawn Kodejs of the Saint Mary’s Huskies have been named first-team Atlantic University Sport men’s soccer all-stars.

The duo will be front and centre as the second-seeded Huskies aim for their first title since 2005 at the AUS championship in Moncton this weekend.

Saint Mary’s has a bye to Saturday’s semifinals.

The third-seeded Dalhousie Tigers, who placed midfielder Ross Hagen and defender Kerry Weymann on the first all-star team, are in Friday’s quarter-finals against the Moncton Aigles Bleus.

On the women’s side in Wolfville, second-ranked Dalhousie and first-team all-stars Jeanette Huck and Kate MacDonald will enjoy a quarter-final bye. The fifth-seeded Huskies, who placed Kelly Burgess on the first all-star team, play the St. Francis Xavier X-Women in Friday’s quarter-finals.

Among the major award winners is Lower Sackville striker Ian Greedy, who took home men’s rookie of the year with the Cape Breton Capers.
