Halifax regional council is expanding the ways voters can follow along with all the action from weekly council sessions.

Regular public sessions will now be broadcast on the internet via the local news and entertainment site haligonia.ca beginning Tuesday, Oct. 19.

Mayor Peter Kelly said the move will increase transparency and more strongly connect residents to their councillors.

Sessions will still be broadcast on Eastlink television.
