Well aware of Toronto’s current condominium boom, the Waterloo couple was interested in getting involved and purchasing a suite of their own. After shopping around and comparing details of Toronto’s new buildings, they decided that Monarch’s Quay West at Tip Top was the condominium for them.
"It was the best for our needs and for our budget," says Remo. "We were looking for something downtown, and the fact that it’s on the waterfront was also a good point for us."
The couple purchased a one-bedroom suite on the top floor of Quay West’s six-storey podium. The layout, specifically, was something they paid close attention to, wanting an efficient design that made the most of the space on hand. They also wanted plenty of windows and will have exactly that with their new corner suite.
The location was also a deciding factor for the couple, who not only enjoy Quay West’s lakeside setting with Coronation Park next door — but also liked its proximity to downtown and the Gardiner Expressway.
The only thing separating the Quay West from the lake is the Martin Goodman Trail, which connects two waterfront parks that also sit adjacent to this chic new urban oasis. In addition to suites in the tower, there’s also a selection of two-storey townhomes along Stadium Road and Coronation Park.
Inside the building, Quay West residents will enjoy a 24/7 uniformed concierge, as well as the Quay West Club, with a private landscaped courtyard, a "zen spa" with sauna, whirlpool and rinsing showers; a sports lounge with billiards room; a theatre; a cyber café overlooking the courtyard; and a state-of-the-art fitness centre. There’s also a special occasion room with caterer’s kitchen and a relaxing fireplace; a car wash bay; and two designer-decorated guest suites.
Suites themselves come with green features throughout, including low-emission window glass, a heat pump heating/cooling system, individual suite hydro metering, Energy Star® dishwasher, fridge and front-load washer, carpets certified by the Canadian Carpet Institute under its Indoor Air Quality Testing Program, low-emission laminate flooring, an automated recycling collection system and more.
Now under construction, the townhomes, studios, one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den, two-bedroom and two-bedroom plus den suites are priced from the low $200,000s.
For a limited time, purchasers receive one year free maintenance and a move-in bonus of $3,000 off for one-bedroom and one- bedroom plus den suites and $5,000 off for two- bedroom and two- bedroom plus den suites.
