Three young children removed from the home of a couple charged with abandoning a baby girl are slightly underweight and developmentally delayed, routine checkups have revealed.
The three children, all under the age of six, were taken from their parents’ Kitchener home last Wednesday when the couple was arrested and charged with the January abandonment of baby Angelica-Leslie.
The children were subsequently placed in the care of Family and Children’s Services of the Waterloo Region, where checkups revealed the deficiencies, said Peter Ringrose, the agency’s executive director
The children’s parents will be in court again tomorrow.
