Construction on the Fairview Overpass will be continuing into the overnight hours for the next two weeks to complete pile driving and excavation for the east bridge piers.

The work was scheduled to begin yesterday and is taking place between 10:30 p.m. and 8:30 a.m. to avoid interruptions to the daytime CNR train.

Also starting yesterday through the rest of this week, this overnight work will reduce traffic flow on the Fairview Overpass to one lane in each direction from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m.

The province is in the midst of a six-month construction project at the overpass, with work expected to continue until early spring.
