Crookshank joins IBL

Halifax Rainmen fan-favourite Eric Crookshank has joined the International Basketball League’s Edmonton Chill.
The Chill announced yesterday it has signed the high-flying 6-foot-8 forward as it prepares to open the IBL regular season on April 26 at the 2,000-seat MacEwan Sports Centre.
The IBL is an 18-team pro circuit based primarily in the U.S. It wraps up its schedule in late June and early July.
Crookshank led the Rainmen in scoring during their inaugural campaign in the American Basketball Association.
He was an ABA first-team all-star and piled up 28 points, 12 rebounds and six steals in the annual All-Star Game. He averaged 20.5 points and 12.2 rebounds for the Rainmen, who dropped out of the ABA at the end of the regular season.
The Rainmen are currently in search of a new league, and are preparing a proposal to join the NBA D-League. They are also considering other options, including the Premier Basketball League and the Continental Basketball Association.
The schedules for those leagues do not conflict with the IBL
