A couple of late goals last night lifted the Pictou County Weeks Crushers back into their Maritime Junior A Hockey League Bent Division semifinal with the Halifax Lions.

The Crushers scored twice in a 17-second stretch in the third period to earn a 3-2 victory over the Lions at the Forum to even the best-of-seven series at one game apiece.

Former Halifax Mooseheads defenceman Scott McDonald put one home on the power play at 14:49 to tie it and Dan Joyce scored an unassisted tally at 15:06 to win it.

Stuart Lenehan and Dylan King found the net for the Lions, while goalie Kody Blois turned in a 54-save showing.

Game 3 is tomorrow in New Glasgow.
