“In this economy” are words that are usually pinned with a big negative “not.” As in, “not in this economy.” But that’s not the case at Boston-based CSN stores, which is doing the opposite of most retailers and hiring this fall.
“In this economy we’re expanding, not contracting like most retailers,” says Dave Ladetto, who works in the online retailer’s public relations department. “CSN is actually going to be hiring over 100 people in the next two months. We’ve hired over 250 in the last 12 months, but we still need to fill a bunch of roles.”
It isn’t only seasonal hires for the upcoming holiday shopping season, either.
“We’re looking for a mix of seasonal and full-time staff members. Actually, it’s mostly full-time,” adds Ladetto.
The jobs range from customer service to tech to marketing and fall in all age and experience levels, too: from entry level to seasoned executives. The main requirement, says Ladetto, “is passion and enjoying a fast-paced environment.”
