Cyclist suffers life-threatening head injuries

A male cyclist suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s east end late Tuesday night.

At 11 p.m., paramedics attended a call in the area of Blair and Ogilvie roads, where they found an unconscious male with a head injury.

Earlier this week, an Ottawa man was charged after five cyclists suffered serious to life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run collision involving five cyclists in the city’s west end Sunday morning.

The cyclists, who were riding on March Road when they were struck, remain in hospital.
