The Dalhousie Tigers have locked up men’s hockey coach Pete Belliveau for the next five seasons.

Dal director of athletics John MacDonald announced yesterday Belliveau has signed a five-year extension that will keep him at the helm through the 2014-15 Atlantic University Sport campaign.

Although the Tigers haven’t made the AUS playoffs since winning a national bronze medal in 2004, Belliveau has slowly rebuilt the program since taking over in 2008.

The squad finished with 20 points last season, one point out of a playoff spot.
