Former NHLer Mike Danton is scheduled to make his debut with the Saint Mary’s Huskies Wednesday.
Saint Mary’s head coach Trevor Stienburg confirmed on the weekend he plans to insert the 29-year-old forward into his lineup when the Huskies host the Acadia Axemen at 7 p.m. at the Forum.
Danton, on parole after five years in prison for a failed murder-for-hire plot in 2004, hasn’t played since he skated with the St. Louis Blues six years ago.
The Huskies (12-5-4) are ranked ninth in the country.
