Dartmouth pair face drug charges after police raid

A man and woman from Dartmouth are facing drug charges after police raided a Pinecrest Drive residence Monday night.

“Our Integrated Drug Unit, working alongside our East Division Community Response Officers, conducted a raid of a Pinecrest residence and that search discovered a quantity of crack cocaine and marijuana, as well as some other drug paraphernalia,” said Halifax Regional Police spokesman Cst. Brian Palmeter.

Police have not released details on the amount of drugs seized.

The 25-year-old man and the 23-year-old woman have both been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine and possession of marijuana. The man is also charged with two breaches of probation. Both were scheduled to appear in Dartmouth court yesterday.
