A tentative preliminary trial date has been set for the man accused in the shooting death of taxi driver Sergei Kostin.
Chaze Lamar Thompson, 20, of Dartmouth, will appear in a Dartmouth court room on May 9, 2011.
He is charged with one count of murder in relation to Kostin’s death.
Thompson is currently serving a four-year prison sentence for robbery.
Thompson will also appear in court on April 27 and 28 on charges of aggravated assault, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon in relation to a separate incident.
On Jan. 20, 2009, police officers found Sergei Kostin’s burnt out taxicab in a remote area on Downey Road in North Preston.
Kostin’s body was found more than three months later about 20 feet from Upper Governor Road.
