This year’s Canadian Progress Club dinner is one they’ll be talking about for many years to come. Hockey legends Frank Mahovlich and Brian Trottier teamed up with football’s Jim Kelly and Olympic gold medallist Adam van Koeverden.
But it was basketball bad boy Dennis Rodman who brought the show to a complete halt with his four letter words, tears and wild antics. Master of Ceremonies Rod Black brought everything back on the rails, and comic Dave Hemstad kept us laughing.

On the other side of town, someone was winning a $65,000 Mercedes Benz as part of the Scotia Festival of Music car draw. The buffet and auction at the World Trade and Convention Centre raised money for the upcoming 30th anniversary of the festival this June.
