Whether you’re a young person looking to break into the housing market, or looking to own in the heart of the city, you’re in luck.
According to David Wex, owning a trendy, modern condo in Ottawa doesn’t mean you have to spend a fortune.
“You don’t have to pay a lot of money for modern design,” said Wex, a partner at Urban Capital.
Since the design-oriented development company’s launch in Ottawa in 2001, Wex has seen more than 1,000 condos built in the capital at affordable prices. Tomorrow night, the public is invited to hear Part 3 of its design series, Trends in Design.
Keynote speaker Julian Goss will explore the past, present, and future of industrial design.
“It’s our ‘give back’ to the community in terms of design,” said Wex, who added traditional Ottawa developers usually don’t go for the trendy or modern look.
