Premier Darrell Dexter said he needs more information before he reaches a decision on the proposed downtown trade centre.
Dexter said his office is currently working through the proposal from developer Rank Inc.
He could not say when the government will have a decision as to whether or not it will kick funding to the project.
Dexter’s office received the proposal from Infrastructure Renewal Minister Bill Estabrooks.
Estabrooks told reporters on Thursday he had formulated an opinion on the issue, but will not reveal it to the public or his colleagues before he and Dexter discuss it.
