Twenty-five alleged drug traffickers are facing a number of charges after a two-month-long crackdown by police in the city’s west end.

Police say investigators were targeting “dial-a-dopers” from January to March along Stony Plain Road between 149 Street and 170 Street, and between 95 Avenue and 107 Avenue.

“The community brought forward issues of prostitution, street-level drug dealing and dial-a-doping that were affecting the Stony Plain Road beat area and its neighbouring communities,” said Const. Billy Countryman with the police service’s west division.

Police say 25 people are facing 96 drug-related criminal charges and roughly $11,000 in cash was seized, along with 300 gram of cocaine.
