Demi Moore has entered rehab after being rushed to the hospital Monday night for an alleged prescription pill overdose, according to TMZ.
Despite a frantic 911 call and an ambulance dispatched to Moore’s home, the actress’ reps insist Moore’s trip to rehab is for “exhaustion” and nothing more.
“Because of the stresses in her life right now, Demi has chosen to seek professional assistance to treat her exhaustion and improve her overall health,” her reps say in a statement.
“She looks forward to getting well and is grateful for the support of her family and friends.”
Radar Online reports that actually, Moore had a seizure before she was rushed to the hospital and is now being treated “for anorexia, as well as other issues,” a source told the site.
Meanwhile, on the same night she had her breakdown, her estranged husband, Ashton Kutcher, was seen partying with a bevy of beauties at a Bruno Mars concert in Brazil.
It’s interesting, isn’t it? We spend a lot of time (and editorial space) idolizing these celebrities. We’re green-eyed about their wealth, beauty and success.
But whoa — when they crash, they really, really crash. We might not be as thin or as rich, but we normals seem to be able to handle life’s problems with a bit more ease.
And really, Demi. Don’t let someone as dumb as Ashton Kutcher bring you down. You can — and will — do better.
