Eric Locke of Digby Pines has grabbed the lead following the second round of the Nova Scotia Golf Association’s boys junior championship yesterday at North Sydney’s Seaview Golf and Country Club.

The defending champion shot a four-over par 75 to sit at one-over through 36 holes. He soared passed Sam Holland of Ken-Wo, who was leading after Monday’s first round, but is now tied for third after finishing yesterday with a 78. Truro’s Eric Banks is also in third, while Ken-Wo’s Ally Tidcombe jumped to second place, one back of Locke thanks to a three-under 68.

In girl’s action at Seaview, Irene Jung of The Links at Penn Hills held on to the top spot firing her second-straight four-over 75. Northumberland’s Brynn Tomie sits in second, 13 strokes behind Jung, a 15-year-old from Bedford.
