VANCOUVER - Vancouver's sagging cruise ship business is getting a boost with word the Disney Cruise Line will offer Alaskan cruises out of the city starting in 2011.

The company says the Disney Wonder will sail from Vancouver from May to August calling on the Alaskan ports of Juneau, Ketchikan and Skagway.

The 320-metre ship can carry 2,400 guests.

The news is welcome to the Port Vancouver after four lines dropped the city from their ports of call over the past year, switching to Seattle and Victoria.

The loss is estimated to have cost the city $150 million.
