Do you think you can dance? Prove it

Canada, are you ready to dance your tootsies off?

Well throw on your best dancing shoes and make your way down to auditions for So You Think You Can Dance Canada. Auditions are getting underway today in Vancouver as the SYTYCD team searches for potential competitors to be part of the show.

Host Leah Miller, currently the host of MuchMusic’s MuchOnDemand, is joining the cross-country audition tour, which will also be making stops in Halifax, Calgary, Montreal and Toronto.

“There’s just so many talented people in Canada, so I can’t wait to see who comes out to the auditions,” says Miller.

As host of SYTYCD Canada, Miller will be the eyes and ears of Canadian viewers at each audition city, chatting with competitors and the judges, and will be able to give people the inside scoop on the talent they’ve found.

And when the series debuts in the fall on CTV, Miller will introduce the finalists and interact with the competitors and judges in her role as host of the live episodes.

“(I’m) beyond excited, but you know what’s so weird though, it hasn’t even really sunk in yet,” she says.

“That might sound strange, but I found out two weeks ago and I had to keep really quiet about it — so I think it will really set in once I’m doing the show.”

So what kind of advice can Miller offer hopefuls auditioning for the shot at stardom? “Don’t be scared and give it your all … and do your best and try not to be nervous.”
