A Vancouver family is appealing to the conscience of whomever stole their dog to bring back their “beloved pet.”
Shobha, a five-year-old Boxer, had been put in her heated backyard kennel on Nov. 17 and disappeared sometime overnight.
“(The family) found that someone had broken into the fenced-in area built for Shobha and stolen the dog,” police said in a release.
“Shobha’s owners desperately miss her, and the two young children who call Shobha their ‘best friend’ want nothing more than to have her returned.”
Police say the owner posted a reward ad on the Internet and was contacted by someone who claimed they may know who had the dog.
“Investigators have spoken to the person who claimed to have knowledge of where Shobha is and the investigation is continuing.”
Anyone with information is asked to call police.
