A woman walking her dog along the river path near Canyon Meadows Drive SE made a disturbing discovery Wednesday morning when she found a dead body in six to eight inches of water.
The woman found the reportedly female body along the Bow River at Mallard Pointe near Fish Creek Park.
Fire crews recovered the body from the water and police are investigating the circumstances but Duty Insp. Vic Trickett said the death doesn’t appear to be suspicious at this time. “It’s an unfortunate incident but nothing causes me to be suspicious,” he added.
