The Dalhousie Tigers open their annual assault on the Atlantic University Sport men’s volleyball circuit Saturday on the road against the Memorial Sea-Hawks.

The Tigers have captured 23 consecutive AUS titles and hold a dominating 35-3 record the past three seasons against their conference competition, which consists of the Sea-Hawks and the New Brunswick Varsity Reds.

Dan Murray, an AUS all-star, is the only loss from last season’s club that finished fifth at nationals.

Reigning conference MVP and first-team all-Canadian Sander Ratsep and second-team all-Canadian Max Burt are the key returnees. Both represented Canada at the World Universiade in Belgrade, Serbia, in the summer. Halifax’s Angus Campbell is among the new recruits.

The Tigers face the Sea-Hawks on Saturday and Sunday.
