It seems to me that, with all of this lambasting of the OLG going on, people have forgotten the main reason for there even being an OLG.
Ontario Lottery and Gaming has contributed billions of dollars over its 30 years of existence to numerous charities — Federated Health, United Way — the list goes on.
No one seems to remember this fact because the media are too busy concentrating on degrading the OLG in the eyes of the public and, let’s face it, public opinion is directly swayed by and related to media coverage.
Please, let’s at least give credit where credit is due.
There’s nothing wrong with, occasionally, printing some good news.
