Donald Trump Jr. took to Twitter to take a dig at former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on her birthday, calling her “arrogant” and “entitled”
Hillary Clinton celebrated her 70th birthday Thursday and while many people on Twitter sent her happy birthday tweets, President Trump’s oldest son, Donald Trump Jr. felt it was necessary to call her out for a tweet she made last year on her birthday, proclaiming herself as the next president of the United States.
“A year later the arrogance and entitlement in this tweet is exactly why it was never going to happen. #maga,” Donald Trump Jr. tweeted on Thursday.
In the tweet, Trump Jr. included a screenshot of Hillary Clinton’s 2016 tweet, from last year when she wished herself a happy birthday and posted a photograph of herself as a young girl.
“Happy birthday to this future president,” Clinton tweeted last year on October 26, less than two weeks before November 8, before she lost the presidential election to Donald Trump, despite winning the popular vote. At the time she posted the tweet, Clinton was ahead of Trump in the polls.

Within the same hour, Trump Jr. followed with another tweet, wishing her a happy birthday but including a link to a Fox News story about the Department of Justice lifting a gag order on an FBI informant to allow him to testify about whether the Clintons and Russia worked together to make the Uranium Deal happen. He also made a point to use the "birthday cake" Emoji for added effect.
