Dorm outside the norm

You’ve been in your new dorm room for a couple weeks now but your home away from home is the furthest thing from homey. The walls are bare and, besides the textbooks, your shelves remain empty.
The dorm rules on decorating are strict and money is tight but it’s possible to turn this strange room into your room without ever having to bang a nail or blow your student loan on room accessories.
Double-sided tape and hooks are a great option for hanging posters and pictures; throwing down a small bright rug adds instant warmth (and covers up old stains!); and getting coat hooks that hang over the back your door keeps you from drilling any holes. Remember, this small space has to be your bedroom, study and storage room for a year!
