Open since December 2008, Steve and Rosa Pino have a lovely little spot for a quick lunch or just a break from the doldrums of a workday.
You can guess the star at Simply Biscotti is the double-baked sweet, but the sandwiches are worth a lunch visit too. They offer a variety of sandwiches ($5), including tuna salad and egg, which they'll grill if you like.
Moving onto dessert. On the recommendation of one of the staff, I tried the Black Pepper Biscotti, and loved it. The chocolate helped the pepper kick go down, making an interesting combination. The Almond Biscotti was perfect for dipping in my latte with a nice crunch-crumble texture and nutty taste.
Simply Biscotti is a wonderful little spot and, in particular, the summer months can be enjoyed in the lovely courtyard where you can enjoy the sun and fresh air.
