Dozens nabbed for drunk driving in fall

More than 70 people were charged with drinking and driving in the months of September and October, according to statistics released yesterday by Halifax Regional Police.

More than 70 people were charged with drinking and driving in the months of September and October, according to statistics released yesterday by Halifax Regional Police.

In September, there were 34 people charged, including 10 women.

In October, 40 people were charged with impaired driving, including 33 men.

Of the 74 impaired driving cases in total, 36 were called in by the public.
