A 22-year-old man is accused of impair­ed driving causing death in a Scarborough crash that killed his passenger last month.

A Honda was heading west on Brimorton Drive, near Ellesmere and Markham roads, on Feb. 13 when it went out of control and struck a hydro pole and a tree.

Police said Ali Amim, 22, of Toronto was charged after toxicology tests were completed.
