Halifax Dunbrack has moved into sole possession of first place in the men’s Nova Scotia Soccer League Premiership.

Dunbrack improved its record to 5-2 with a 3-0 drubbing of Highland yesterday in Antigonish, with goals from Ali Devereaux, Billy Connolly and Alex Cordoba.

Devereaux is making a statement to repeat as the league’s Golden Boot Award winner, tied with Suburban’s Ian Greedy with a league-best four goals.

Defending champion Halifax City (3-1) lost its first game of the year on Saturday, a 5-4 setback to Cape Breton.
