Two men in their 20s are facing charges following an armed robbery in Strathcona County last week.

Police said Mounties pursued a white pickup truck, after receiving word the Country Boyz Tempo Gas Station had been robbed.

After reaching speeds of 160 km/hour, police stopped the pursuit, as Air 1 had the truck in its sights from the sky. The truck stopped at a rural home southeast of Sherwood Park.

Police arrested two suspects at the home. Police believed the pair are responsible for a rural armed robbery spree last week.

Harley Bone, 29, and Catlin Mamela, 23, are both charged with a number of robbery-related offences.
