Early morning arson spree ends in arrest

An 18-year-old man accused of trying to paint the town red in his own unique manner has been charged for six arsons started in the span of only one hour.

Picnic tables, patio sets, barbecues and sheds were all items that were deliberately set on fire during the one-hour spree.

Christopher Phillip MacBurnie was arrested after he was found wandering in the area of 40 Street and 120 Avenue yesterday, where six houses had property set ablaze between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. MacBurnie is charged with six counts of arson.
