Ed’s on a fitness kick

Ed Robertson

Ed Robertson, a musician with the Barenaked Ladies, stars in Ed’s Up! airing Wednesday nights on OLN:

Q: What products make you look and feel good?

A: I use Anthony Logistics stuff for shaving. I especially like their orange facial scrub. For shampoo and conditioner, I use whatever is in the hotel room or the gym. I also use the Bed Head stick for my hair. It always looks like you’re putting deodorant on your head.

Q: Describe your style?

A: I don’t follow fashion enough to know what the trends are. My style, rock star chic. I like to be comfortable and look good.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: It’s always hard not to sweat the small stuff because while you’re sweating it … it doesn’t seem small at all. A house full of kids really helps though.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: Historically, I have yo-yoed up and down a lot. I’m trying to stop that now. For the last few months I have been working out more than I ever have in my life.

I’m getting to the gym four to six times a week. I’m also running and strength training. I’m really busy with the TV show and recording a new record. I am determined to keep exercising this time!

Amber Marshall

Actress Amber Marshall plays Amy in the CBC series Heartland:

Q: Describe your style?

A: I wear what I am feeling: If I’m in a party mood, I’ll wear something fun. If I’m planning a relaxing day around the house I’ll just wear sweats.

Q: How do you keep life in perspective?

A: I find most of the time that if you let the small stuff bother you, it turns out to be needless worry. So I try to never think about the small stuff. I just try to keep my mind clear and myself grounded.

Q: How do you stay fit?

A: I have no regular regime. I tend to stay naturally active. I’ll walk instead of drive if I can.

Q: What are your healthy eating habits?

A: I enjoy only eating healthy foods. If I’m at a party and there is a bowl of chips and a plate of celery sticks I always go for the vegetables.
