Ottawa police have charged an Edmonton man with second-degree murder in relation to the death of an Ottawa man found injured and unconscious on a street corner August 26.
Sean Murphy died from his injuries on September 16. Police later said they were investigating his death as a murder.
The arrest earlier this week follows a five-month investigation by members of the Ottawa Police, which included assistance from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Edmonton Police Service.
Mohamed Jama Yusuf, 20, of Edmonton was arrested in that city on a Canada Wide Warrant for second-degree murder Tuesday and was returned to Ottawa by homicide investigators yesterday. He appeared in court today.
