Elderly Calgary couple's car found; two bodies located

Didsbury RCMP have located the missing vehicle belonging to two Calgary people missing since last week.  Two bodies were also located.

The bodies of two elderly people were found, along with the car belonging to two people missing in Calgary since last week, RCMP said this morning.

Investigators believe at this point that a vehicle matching the description of the Chrysler Sebring belonging Allen and Margaret Berrington, missing since last week, likely broke down on a roadway and the occupants attempted to walk out after waiting in the vehicle for a certain amount of time.

At approximately 6 p.m. last night, RCMP were called to a secluded lease road in the MD of Bighorn, approximately 7 km north of the Harold Creek Road for the report of an abandoned vehicle

Police say the body of an elderly female was located three kilometres south of the vehicle along the same road. This discovery was made by dirt-bikers who were riding in the area. The body of an elderly male was also found within 10 metres of the female.

According to RCMP, the identities have not been positively identified and not have not yet been released. Tenative IDs have been made and next of kin have been notified.

Foul play is not suspected in the deaths.
