Halifax regional council is getting a raise.

Recent salary numbers were posted on the Halifax Regional Municipality’s website.

Mayor Peter Kelly is getting a raise of 4.04 per cent. He’ll be making $144,962 a year.

Councillors are getting a 1.62 per cent raise and will make $72,357 a year.

The deputy mayor makes 10 per cent above the salary of a councillor, so Coun. Brad Johns will be making $79,592 after the raise kicks in.

These are the recommended salaries for 2010-2011.
