Electrical damage stalls Calgary LRT

Commuters were shuttled in buses as Enmax crews worked to repair damaged electrical wires.

Commuters were left in the cold this morning as they waited for
Calgary Transit workers to repair electrical damage to the C-Train line.

There were delays of around half an hour for those waiting along the
C-Train line between Somerset and Crowfoot because of damage to the
overhead electrical wire.

While Enmax and transit crews are working to repair the wires, Calgary
Transit spokesperson Ron Collins said he is unsure when it would be
fixed.

“The goal is to have it repaired sooner than later,” said Collins.

He said there are currently 14 shuttle buses running between Anderson
Station and the downtown core.
