Calgary police are seeking the public's help to identify a man responsible for a robbery.

At about 11:10 p.m. Tuesday, police say a man entered the Glendale Liquor Store located in the 2800 block of 37 Street S.W. He selected three bottles of alcohol, briefly stopped at the cash register but then attempted to leave the store without paying.

A member of the staff attempted to stop him from leaving and was struck him with a bottle,

knocking him to the floor.

The offender then ran from the store and got into a waiting vehicle with two other men. The vehicle was last seen heading southbound on 37 Street S.W.

The employee was not seriously injured and did not require hospital treatment.

The offender is described as a Caucasian man, 20 to 25-years-old, 200 lbs., with a medium build. He was wearing blue track pants, a white T-shirt and a black jacket.
